Scotland Office Coordinator

About the role

The Office Coordinator role exists to proactively develop and manage key administrative, operational and finance systems and processes for the Scotland office in Edinburgh. It ensures that procedures are followed and standards are met in the Scotland office and by Scotland staff. The role ensures procedures/systems support the agreed corporate strategies and programme in Scotland. The Office Coordinator role holder administers and maintains the annual budgeting process in Scotland, helps facilitate work across the team and ensures the smooth running of the office. The Office Coordinator takes meeting minutes, schedules meetings for Scotland and the Nations and Church Relations Division. The role supports the administrative needs of the Head of Nations and Church Relations and Division.

About you

You are organised, good with people and a team player. You have strong administrative and financial skills, demonstrate proficient IT skills and have an ability to cope well with multiple tasks. You communicate clearly and tactfully with people at all levels, both internally and externally. You are proactive and can work independently.

Central Supporter Engagement Support Officer (Scotland)

Campaigns & Advocacy Coordinator (Scotland)

Christian Aid has a focus on identifying, and seeking to address, the root causes of poverty. This role will take a lead on Christian Aid’s campaigning in Scotland. You’ll work with colleagues in the Scotland team, and across the organisation, to bring about positive change by developing effective and timely public campaigns aimed at Scotland-based decision makers. Alongside churches, coalition partners and our amazing supporters, you’ll be at the heart of campaigning in Scotland for a more just world.

First and foremost, you’ll have a passion for the issues on which Christian Aid works – such as Climate Justice, Gender Justice and Economic Justice. You’ll have experience of, and insight into, harnessing public campaigns to put pressure on decision-makers. About the role

The Head of Scotland will take a leadership role in Christian Aid’s work in Scotland, raising our profile in Scotland; achieving set fundraising targets, engaging our partner churches and demonstrate effectiveness in campaigning and advocacy.

Leading by example, you will help shape and deliver Christian Aid’s corporate priorities, effectively collaborating and stewarding resources.

About you

You will possess a deep knowledge of theology and church and ecumenical structures in Scotland, with the ability to apply this knowledge to the fundraising, supporter engagement and international development work of Christian Aid, including speaking compellingly and with gravitas to church audiences..

With outstanding stakeholder relationship management skills, you will have the ability to develop our relationship in Scotland with the churches, Scottish Government, civic networks, interfaith spaces, and the private sector. You will also have a knowledge and deep understanding of the Scottish political context with experience of confidently communicating at a high level with the Scottish Government.
