We are recruiting for a Service Manager to lead our Young People and Family Support team. The team provides flexible intensive family support than enables children and young people on the edges of care, and their families to receive the right support at the right time, building on their strengths and reducing the need for statutory reports.

As well as leading the team, the Service Manager will contribute to the ongoing development and growth of the service, ensuring all support delivered to a high standard.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Provide leadership and support to your staff team
• Adopt a creative approach to managing difficult and complex situations and guiding your team during periods of challenge
• Ensure children and their families receive high standards of flexible support based on their individual needs
• Ensure GIRFEC principles underpin all support offered, with children and families at the heart of the process
• Ensure sound child protection and safeguarding protocols are in place and followed
• Arrange and facilitate regular support and supervision sessions with your staff team
• Develop strong relationships with funders connected with our Children and Families support services
• Develop new and sustain existing partnerships with external agencies especially Social Work, Education, Health and a range of voluntary sector agencies

We are recruiting for a Property Maintenance Supervisor to lead the property maintenance field team and oversee their day-to-day activities.

Our Property team is responsible for a portfolio of over 500 properties varying in size throughout Glasgow and the team consists of maintenance workers, technicians and painters.

The Supervisor will scope and plan works from void properties and review works for tenanted properties. You will also support the admin supervisor on planning works for the internal team while providing feedback on contractor performance.

Main duties and responsibilities will include:

• Scope void properties, carrying out a detailed review of the property with clear guidance on category rating
• Advise on works required to bring void properties back to agreed standard
• Phase works and advise if there are any barriers to stop completion of works in agreed deadlines
• Plan all works and parts requires, advise of any parts that can be purchased in advance
• Liaise with the Administration Supervisor on completion of works
• Review status of all properties undergoing any works at weekly meetings with Property Maintenance & Health and Safety Manager
• Coordinate replacement of any items taken from voids at initial clear out ensuring complete inventory and recycle/upcycle where possible
• Lead the internal maintenance field team with a clear focus on delivery performance and outcome attainment to deliver all the required works to return void properties back to Short Term Housing as soon as possible
• Build and maintain strong relationships with the field team, feeding back on performance and highlight where there are skills gaps

What we expect from you...

You will be able to demonstrate extensive experience of working in a property/building/trades background with a working knowledge of health and safety. You will also have experience of building and supervising a team with a proven track record in coaching and people management. You will be experienced in effective planning, performance management and assessing quality assurance.

A full, valid driving license is an essential requirement.

Our People team is recruiting for the newly created role of People Business Partner.

The People Business Partner will be aligned with our Inverness and Orkney services to work closely with leaders and line managers enabling business strategy by delivering practical people approaches, diagnosing people priorities, creating people plans, and helping to implement organisation wide people approaches.

This is a part time role working 17.5 hours per week, hybrid working is available and can be agreed with the line manager, as well as working pattern.

Depending on your location, this role can be based in Inverness or Kirkwall, Orkney. Regular visits will be required to the other location.

About The Role

The Treasurer will assist and advise the Board of Directors on issues related to finance. The position works in partnership with members of the staff team who deal with much of the day-to-day financial business, predominantly the Director and Finance Officer. All Trustees collectively play their part in financial monitoring and decision making at The Junction.

Within the role you will contribute to Finance Sub-Groups (meeting roughly 4 times per year in advance of a Full Board Meeting). You will also share Finance Papers at full Board Meetings which take place 4 times per year. You can join in-person or online.

About You

We are looking for committed individuals to join our Board of Trustees. This is an incredible opportunity to make a difference to The Junction, to young people and to build your own skills.

A key requirement for the position is that you have experience of managing finances for a board, for committee, or for an organisation. Applications from qualified accountants and those with experience within the finance sector would be very welcomed but this experience is not essential to the role.

Ability to ask questions, share and uphold our organisational values (inclusive, non-judgemental and collaborative) and having the time commitment for the role is also key to the role.
