About Us
Independent Advocacy Perth & Kinross is a values-driven, rights-based organisation providing independent advocacy to individuals across Perth and Kinross. IAPK supports Children and Young People in having their voices heard, their rights upheld, and being fully involved in decisions affecting their lives. IAPK is the primary provider of Children’s Hearing Advocacy in Perth and Kinross in the Children’s Hearing Service.
The Role
We are seeking someone with motivation and commitment to improve the experience of children and young people affected by the Children's Hearing System. The role is on a maternity cover basis, and you will join a friendly team committed to upholding the rights of people in many settings. Being an independent advocacy worker is rewarding and requires working directly with individuals who may be experiencing mental health issues, learning disabilities, or other vulnerabilities, ensuring they are supported to express their views and make informed choices.

You may not currently be an Independent Advocacy Worker; however, if you have experience working in the sector and have transferable skills, such as patience and active listening, we encourage you to apply.
