The ‘adults’ post will work with people referred from mental health, alcohol and drug or housing services and seek to connect them to community resources, activities and services which improve their wellbeing and prevent social isolation and loneliness.
The ‘families’ post will similarly work with the new Clackmannanshire Family Support Collaborative and other children & family services to improve outcomes for families.

What does Third Sector Dumfries and Galloway need from you?
The role seeks an experienced, compassionate and enabling leader to join the team as embarking on the delivery of a new Prospectus to 2027. The successful person is likely to bring strong understanding of the third sector, along with excellent strategic planning, performance and relationship building skills across internal and external stakeholders. As well as leading the largest range of portfolios with skilled and experienced colleagues, this role also deputises for their Chief Executive and holds several specific representative roles in that capacity, so experience of contributing to strategic decision making, applying knowledge of wider contexts and collaborative working will all be of benefit to the successful post holder.
What You'll Do
- Develop the organisations capacity building role for the sector across Dumfries and Galloway and further develop their model of sector collaboration.
- Provide strategic leadership across a range of portfolios, supporting and enabling their Lead Officers to design, develop and deliver on their ambitions.
- Enable the development of the organisation’s community involvement, volunteering and local partnership activity and be an advocate for community-led design and investment.
- Represent TSDG and the sector on leadership groups across community planning and regional priorities, including Chairing some relevant groups.
- Build effective partnership and co-working relationships within a range of local, regional partnerships, including NHSDG, Dumfries and Galloway Council, South of Scotland Enterprise, the Third Sector Interface Network and Scottish Government.
- Be accountable, transparent, inclusive and fair to play your part in leading the organisation.
- As a member of the Senior Leadership Group, contribute to the further development and delivery of our Prospectus and help build confidence in the organisation and sector to lead.

CVS Inverclyde is commissioned by NHS Greater Glasgow & Clyde to deliver the Community Link Worker service in Inverclyde. This newly created post is part of a Test of Change which is Fixed Term until March 2026. Any contract extension will be dependent on successful commissioning/refunding arrangements.
The Community Link Worker programme in Inverclyde is funded by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. Community Link Workers are based within GP Practices and they work across the community, third sector and public sector to support people to live well through strengthening connections between community resources and primary care.
Community Link Workers provide a service that is responsive to the needs and interests of GP practice populations, who are often living in an area affected by socio-economic deprivation. They support them to identify issues that affect their ability to live well.
Taking a person-centred approach, the CLW Assistant will support the wider team by providing additional support for identified individuals in relation to making applications and generic form completion (including applications for blue badges, MyBus etc), ad hoc practical activities and accompanying patients to appointments/resources when appropriate. Part of the role will also be in relation to administrative duties – maintaining the CLW resource database and liaising with partner organisations to keep up to date with local and national resources which enables the team to link patients to relevant resources across a wide range of issues. The CLW Assistant will also provide administrative support to the Lead CLW and will be involved in events, engagement and communications as required, including social media.

The job can be seen as a community engager, and the post holder will support groups to develop within their local areas. Your work at Engage Renfrewshire will encourage local people to work together to make change happen in their communities.
