Role

The post holder will support Black and Minority Ethnic women, their children and young people experiencing and/or fleeing domestic abuse or forced marriage. Applicants ideally have a minimum of 2 years’ experience of working with Black and Minority Ethnic Communities; especially, women, children, and young people; an understanding of the legislative and cultural issues surrounding domestic abuse/forced marriage and their effects on Black and Minority Ethnic women, their children and young people.

The post holder must have a minimum of SVQ Social Services and Healthcare at SCQF7 or above to meet registration requirements of SSSC or relevant qualification such as degree in Social Work or Community Education and must be a bilingual speaker in Hindi and or Urdu and or Punjabi.

  • Involve unsocial and flexible hours including evenings and weekends.
