person in Scotland has access to expert youth specific services to assist them to avoid, resolve and move on from homelessness.
Context
The Project Worker will work directly with young people to coordinate and provide emotional and practical support on a 1:1 and group basis. Working with young people in their supported tenancy and in their local community to ensure that a young person’s experience of homelessness is rare, brief, and nonrecurring.
The Project Worker will offer line management, guidance, and support to Support Assistants and volunteers, working together to support young people to improve their practical independent living skills, access other services and to reach their full potential. Project Workers are responsible for completing support plans and risk assessments and are the main contact for any key people involved in the care and support of young people.

About the project
The Hospital Inreach service is part of a 12-month pilot across Forth Valley. You will be working with people experiencing homelessness who are admitted to Forth Valley Royal Hospital. The project supports people to complete courses of treatment within hospital and to plan for a discharge into accommodation that suits their needs and aids their recovery.
We are recruiting two 20-hour posts to deliver this pilot project, which replicates a service we have successfully run in Edinburgh for several years.

About the role
Working alongside clinicians in the hospital settings, you will provide one-to-one person-centred support to people in hospitals. You will work with individuals to enable them to identify housing options, personal outcomes and priorities for their health and wellbeing and link them to local support services and activities.
About you
You will have experience supporting individuals with complex social and emotional circumstances, as well as a solid understanding of the challenges faced by people experiencing homelessness. You will apply strong interpersonal skills to deliver effective one-to-one support as well as manage relationships with multiple partner agencies across Forth Valley.
You will genuinely believe partnership working is key in supporting the people we work with. You will be resilient and perform effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Assistant Community Food Worker

About the role
This new role will contribute to the delivery our new Extended Table project, funded for 5 years by the National Lottery Community Fund.
The project is a partnership with 5 other organisations across the UK. All delivery partners will bring people together, tackle isolation and boost confidence through inclusive food projects – from growing food and cooking, to sharing healthy meals.
You will assist the Community Food Worker to organise and run community meals and cooking skills sessions, preparing the food alongside our with volunteers and trainees. You will also support volunteers and trainees to develop their skills and confidence. This is an exciting opportunity within Food Education, and you will be involved with growing our service as well as our reach beyond Edinburgh
About You
You will have some experience with assisting with group activities, ideally food and cooking related. You will enjoy cooking and be passionate about helping others to get involved. You will be outgoing and good at developing relationships with people. You will be a reliable and an effective team player with a can-do attitude.

The post holder will be responsible for running a calendar of food related events.
These include our Supper Clubs and Masterclasses which bring together people from different communities to prepare food and eat together. You will also contribute to the development of our social eating spaces.
As well as providing a unique experience and new skills, our events highlight how our work with food can remove barriers to addressing social and health inequalities.
About You
You’ll be enthusiastic about food, community, and social impact. You will have experience of organising and delivering events, and bring strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a passion for creating welcoming, inclusive spaces.
