Bridges Programmes is a registered charity which helps New Scots into employment. Our Refugee Doctors Programme is funded by the Scottish Government and, in partnership with NHS allies and supporters, we provide various interventions and offer practical and emotional support to help Refugee Doctors achieve GMC Registration and, ultimately, to work in the NHS in Scotland.
The role:
The purpose of this post is to manage Bridges Programmes’ specialist Doctors Caseworker to support and guide Refugee Doctors into relevant and appropriate careers in the NHS.
The candidate:
We are looking for a project manager with experience of managing staff and budgets. The post-holder must be capable of working on their own initiative, and of representing the project to a wide range of professional stakeholders, including NHS professionals in Scotland and elsewhere in the UK, and the Scottish Government. This is a dynamic role, and the successful candidate will require to have a development mind-set, open to changing structures and new partnerships to better meet the project goal of helping Refugee Doctors into work with the NHS. While it would be preferable if the post-holder had a background in working with migrants and/or working in the NHS, these are not necessary requirements, although the successful candidate will be able to demonstrate that they align with the Bridges’ values.
Main responsibilities:
- Line management of several part-time staff responsible for recruiting and supporting Refugee Doctors through the Programme.
- Managing the Budget for the Refugee Doctors Programme and leading on partnership negotiations and developments for future years with existing and potential new stakeholders.
- Liaison with similar third sector projects elsewhere in the United Kingdom to share experiences and work jointly when appropriate.
- Representing the Refugee Doctors project to a wide range of professional stakeholders.
Additional duties:
Tasks and duties at Bridges Programmes can sometimes be unpredictable and varied. All staff are expected to work in a flexible way when occasionally tasks arise which are not specifically covered by a job description. These additional tasks will normally be to cover unforeseen circumstances and changes in work that are compatible with the jobholder’s regular area of work. If the additional duties become a regular or frequent part of a jobholder’s duties it may be included in their job description in consultation with the member of staff.

Skills and experience
- Experience of working within the NHS and familiar with NHS roles and entry pathways (E)
- Understanding of issues facing refugees, asylum seekers and migrants, and/or lived experience (D)
- Understanding of the employability pipeline and effective employability interventions, and/or lived experience of employability programmes (D)
- Caseload management and/or advice and guidance service delivery (D)
- Record of providing successful outcomes for people with barriers to the labour market (D)
- Knowledge of Office 365 including MS Excel (E)

- Well organised, self-motivated, personable with excellent communication skills (E)

ORGANISATION PROFILE
BRAG Enterprises is Fife based charity that supports people, who in the main, who are residing in disadvantaged areas of Fife to gain the training and employability skills to enable them to move into sustainable employment. ROLE
The post is based at our head office in Crosshill, and the postholder will be a key member of the Senior Management Team playing a vital role in supporting our mission by ensuring sound financial management and accountability. They will work closely with the Managing Director to oversee BRAG’s financial health, ensuring effective financial planning, management, and reporting.
The main tasks and responsibilities are:
Manage and maintain the charities’ financial and accounting functions, including close liaison with our external stakeholders, including accountants, auditors, HMRC, and our property tenants.
Carry out all bookkeeping and financial administration functions using Xero.
Produce accurate monthly management accounts, cash flow forecasts, ad-hoc reports, and prepare year-end financial accounts.
ABOUT YOU
You will understand the need for confidentiality and discretion in a sensitive role and be a known self-starter that has a can-do attitude with values that match our own.
You will have a good grasp of charity accounting rules as well as dealing with partial VAT exemption regulations both of which are specific to this post.
You will be a confident communicator; able to engage effectively with all disciplines.

Baltic Street Adventure Playground (BSAP) is a free, child-led adventure playground in Glasgow’s East End. We’re a democratic space where children make decisions about what happens each day through play, exploration, and creativity. The Role
We’re looking for a Playworker to join our team, taking a lead role in our Afterschool Project. The project collects children from local schools and walks them safely to Baltic Street Adventure Playground, where they take part in free play, creative activities, games, and outdoor fun until collected by their parents or carers.
In addition to supporting the Afterschool Project, the role will also include working on the playground as a Playworker during regular opening hours, contributing to the wider day-to-day running of the site and supporting children’s play across all sessions.
You’ll play an important part in ensuring the project and playground run safely and smoothly while supporting children to explore, make choices, and lead their own play.
An opportunity to work within our innovative & busy city-wide Prevention of Homelessness Team providing dedicated services to those at risk of homelessness and members of the Community Food Larders and Food Pantry’s in Glasgow as part of our Routes from Poverty Project. We have initial funding for one year for this post but hope to secure future funding.
The Welfare Rights Officer, reporting to the Service Manager, will provide a full benefits service in terms of supporting the client to access their benefit entitlement and will provide assistance with appeals and tribunal services representation to the highest level. The welfare rights officer will also deal with complex welfare benefits issues on behalf of the service users. Ability to manage a full & comprehensive caseload in a busy environment is essential
The post involves blended working; with a combination of working remotely from home and office-based casework and outreach work with our partners.
Based in Govan Law Centre with outreach throughout Glasgow.
