Role
Renfrewshire Carers Centre is a one stop shop for unpaid Carers operating in Renfrewshire for almost 30 years. We are a charity established by Carers for Carers and have developed a range of services to support carers in their caring role and provide opportunities to have a life outside of caring.
We are looking for a part-time Finance Officer (3 days a week- 21 hours) to join us – someone to take responsibility for the day-to-day financial management of the charity. This role is key in supporting the Centre Manager and the Board of Trustees. The salary for this position is £31,624 (pro-rata).
Reporting to the Centre Manager you will ensure our accounting systems and procedures are compliant with accounting rules.
Responsibilities:
- This role will involve preparing management accounts, balance sheets and other financial information on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis in a timely manner and liaise with the Auditors to ensure that our annual accounts are completed within the required timescales
- Preparing and presenting financial reports to the Centre Manager and the Board as required, you will prepare payroll data for our accountants to run the payroll as well as the internal financial administration & external invoicing/payments arrangements.
- Assisting the Centre Manager and the Board of Directors to meet all legal and financial requirements of the charity and ensuring full compliance with Charity Accounts and regulations and the Companies Act 2006
- You will be responsible for reconciliation of control accounts and regular review of normal ledger, debtor and creditors. You will oversee all income and expenditure.
- Prepare annual budgets and liaise with team managers to forecast spend for grants.
- Assist with the preparation of Funding applications and mid-year reports.
- Assist Centre Manager with reviewing contracts to obtain best value for money.
Who are we looking for:
We would like you to have proven experience of a similar role to include experience of financial management, budgeting & forecasting, management & financial reporting, and assisting with the preparation of management accounts.
With exceptional interpersonal and communication skills, you will have a high level of attention to detail and the ability to work as part of a team. You will have advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly in Excel, and have experience of Xero.

Lead Parent/Carer & Autism Family Support Worker

Glasgow East End Community Carers are looking for an experienced person to lead on our work with parent/carers and our Autism Family Support programme.
We have a large group of parent/carers who have children with autism, and they come looking for advice, information and support as they deal with the challenges of supporting their child/ren with autism.
We provide a programme of supports which include:
Play Sense – a weekly pre-school age play group
Family Activity Programme – a range of events, outings, day-trips, sports etc for children with autism and their parents.
Autism Training – a programme of training sessions which covers a wide range of topics relating to autism, ADHD etc.
Autism Helpline – a schedule of 30 min conversations with an Autism specialist for personalised advice and support.
Autism Peer Support group – a monthly group to allow parent/carers to meet and chat and support each other.
Autism Family WhatsApp group/PlaySense WhatsApp group – where parent/carers can encourage and support each other and keep in touch with the centre.
This role would be to lead on the delivery of this programme with the support of two support workers and our child-care workers.
The Lead role is responsible to the Carers Hub Manager, and the role is based at our Carers Hub at 26 Penston Road, Glasgow G33 4AG.

This role is ideal for a highly capable individual with strong accounting or finance expertise who thrives in a nurturing team environment and is eager to make a meaningful impact and contribution to a community focused organisation.
As Finance Manager you will oversee all aspects of financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial data and reporting. Your responsibilities will include managing day-to-day finance activities, preparing fully accrued monthly management accounts for the board, and producing a trial balance with supporting evidence for the annual audit. You will also collaborate with external auditors to meet reporting requirements.
Additionally, you will collate payroll to issue to our external payroll provider, oversee pension contributions, and contribute to HR systems and records. You will work closely with the Chief Executive Officer and the Board of Trustees to ensure effective credit control and financial administration.

Centre Service Worker

We are looking for a new colleague to join Lanarkshire Carers as a Centre Service Worker.
You will be the first point of contact for carers accessing our organisation for information, advice and support. The position is full time, 35 hours per week, worked flexibly to include occasional evenings and weekends, however part-time hours may also be considered for the right candidate.

Our Workstyles
Post holders will be based between our Carers Centres in Hamilton and Airdrie, and localities throughout Lanarkshire. Working from home/hybrid working may also be required however this post will mainly work from Lanarkshire Carers Centre: Hamilton. All staff may work at activities and event on an outreach basis in community, health and social care venues across Lanarkshire.
