A bit about the role
Glasgow Health and Social Care Partnership has an exciting new initiative in the North East of the city, aimed at delivering flexible, strengths-based support to families in need. This innovative service is part of a broader city-wide strategy focused on improving outcomes for children and young people aged 0–12 years. By offering timely, tailored support, the service is designed to help families overcome challenges and create stable, nurturing environments where children can thrive.
The core mission of this service is to promote the wellbeing of children and young people by enabling them to remain safely at home with their families. Whether living with parents, siblings, or, when in the child’s best interest, with extended family members, the goal is to ensure children grow up surrounded by familiar faces, within their own communities, attending local schools and maintaining friendships that are vital to their development.
As a Family Support Practitioner, you’ll be an integral part of a dedicated and compassionate team. Your role will involve working closely with families, building trusting relationships, and advocating for the needs of children and young people. You’ll help identify strengths, navigate challenges, and connect families with the resources they need to succeed. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of children while contributing to a forward-thinking approach to family support in Glasgow.
