Midsteeple Quarter is a community benefit society, a community-led initiative to revive the heart of Dumfries town centre. We are transforming a row of underused High Street buildings into a vibrant and inclusive neighbourhood called Midsteeple Quarter. The project involves bringing properties into community ownership and renovating them to create affordable housing, workspaces, social enterprises, and cultural activities. By empowering the community to shape their own future, Midsteeple Quarter hopes to restore civic pride, economic vitality, and social cohesion in the town.

Our Enterprise Manager will:

• enable our Standard Building to become an inclusive, welcoming and vibrant venue for young people.
• develop partnerships with a wide range of organisations and co-ordinate a diverse programme of activities, opportunities and events for young people.
• enable young people to access support, training and advice which helps them to realise their ambitions for enterprise, career growth and skills development.
• contribute towards Midsteeple Quarter’s overall vision of breathing new life into Dumfries High Street.

What we are looking for

We are looking for a creative and hard working individual with a background in working with people aged 15-25. You will be well connected to local initiatives that are supporting young people and able to foster and new partnerships to enable our Standard Building to become a vibrant hub for young people. You will have experience of working with social or start up enterprises and the ability to foster long term partnerships. You will be flexible, enjoy working in a small team and be able to regularly work evening and weekends.

Job Purpose

Working within ACDI’s youth work team there will be a strong requirement for innovation and creativity to encourage, inspire and support children and families living in Auchinleck and surrounding communities.

Delivery of programmes of empowering activities to assist them to be aware of their rights and responsibilities and enable them to take greater control of their lives.

You will have the ability to lead and undertake appropriate marketing activities in the community to ensure families are aware of the initiative.

You will help to deliver high quality and inspiring health and wellbeing workshop sessions that will achieve the programme outcomes complementing the Scottish Government National Outcomes.

CAMPS are excited to announce an opportunity for a highly motivated individual to apply for our part-time Arts Development Coordinator post (17.5 hours).

The successful individual will be responsible for evaluating and developing intergenerational arts activity across CAMPS, supporting project planning, reporting and funding applications. They will strengthen partnerships, identify gaps in provision, and help shape sustainable arts opportunities in line with our Aims and Objectives.

This post has initial funding for 1 year.

Community Energy Scotland is recruiting for a Senior Technical Officer with experience of all aspects of technical project delivery, including scoping of technical work, writing bids and tenders, managing client relationships, overseeing and providing expert input into technical content creation, and delivering outputs on time and to budget.

The role will be part of a wider technical team that delivers the technical aspects of several of Community Energy Scotland’s projects, as well as stand-alone technical work such as feasibility studies and options appraisals. This new senior role requires an energetic, well organised self-starter.

We are particularly looking for candidates who can demonstrate experience and skills in at least two of the following areas:

• Grid assessments
• Development of 30-50MW renewable generation projects
• Non-loan financing for renewable projects
• Cost estimation for renewable generation projects
• System integration of renewable generation projects to buildings or off-grid systems
