Wasps is now looking to recruit a dynamic and self-motivated Head of Development & Enterprise.

Leading our Development and Enterprise department, you will be in the engine room of the charity’s income generation; you will have a demonstrable record of planning and generating income – including trading and fundraising – from a range of sources and have an affiliation with the aims and objectives of Wasps and understand its cultural and social value. This role will focus on developing trading activities, securing grant funding, forming partnerships, and generating income to support the charitable mission.

The Head of Development & Enterprise will play a critical role in the delivery of Wasps’ charitable purpose and partnerships, as well as working with our CEO, consultants and Board of Trustees on major income generation initiatives. You will be comfortable communicating with a variety of stakeholders, understanding their aims and translating them into actionable results on behalf of the organisation. You will be excited to lead fundraising initiatives for capital, programmes and environmental projects.

At Protests and Suffragettes CIC, we’re building a Scotland where the stories of suffragettes and women changemakers aren’t hidden footnotes but vibrant, public, and everywhere — in schools, museums, murals, and on the open web. Over the next three years, we’re scaling workshops, murals, creative commissions, and a national community that will reshape how women’s history is remembered, celebrated, and taught — ramping toward the 2028 Centenary of the Equal Franchise Act (which gave all women in the UK the right to vote).

What you’ll do (the fun stuff)

• Grow our income streams
• Shop: Drive sales, secure museum/boutique stockists, and help onboard new merchandise.
• eCommerce: Drive online sales through targeted ads, search engine optimisations, increasing the sales platforms we’re on, and making our customer journey sing.
• Commissions: Nurture leads for murals/creative commissions with corporate sponsors, third sector partners, and local authorities.
• Events/Tours/Consultation: Working with our Director, you’ll package and sell our ‘Suffragette Stall’, walking tours, and research/engagement consultancy.
• Patreon: Help design tiers and campaigns that turn supporters into subscribers, and grow our community of supporters.
• Workshops: Promote and convert enquiries for creative, Wikipedia, and women’s empowerment workshops in community groups, third sector organisations, and educational institutions (HEIs/ FEs).

The successful candidate will build on the strong foundations of participatory practice that have been established at CELCIS and will have an opportunity to shape the role and develop CELCIS’s work into new areas.

Leading our strategic approach to embed the voices and experiences of children and families, our Participation Practice Lead will work with our experienced, multidisciplinary teams across CELCIS and work in partnership with organisations and the children’s services workforce across Scotland and beyond.

While this is a strategic role, it is also about sharing good practice to equip and enable colleagues and stakeholders. In this role, you’ll support the workforce and leaders to create readiness and build the confidence, skills, and culture needed to involve people with lived experience in safe, ethical, and meaningful ways. You’ll design and facilitate reflective learning spaces, co-production activities, and inclusive activities that are trauma-informed and rights-based.

We’re looking for someone who brings integrity and a deep understanding of this work, someone who has “walked the walk” in social work, youth work, or a related field and is passionate about creating the conditions where children, young people, and families are truly seen, heard, and valued.

You’ll be a trusted facilitator, a credible leader, and a passionate advocate for children’s rights and wellbeing, helping to turn insight into impact, and experience into evidence for change.
