Main Purpose of the Post

To support the development and implementation of tsiMORAY’s plans to empower a resilient, well governed and financially sustainable third sector in Moray. The post will encourage and support existing and emerging third sector organisations, including social enterprises, to strengthen their governance, secure sustainable funding, and play an active role in identifying and meeting the needs and aspirations of local people, contributing confidently to the local community.

Key aspects will focus on: building capacity; improving governance, strengthening funding and sustainability; fostering confidence and resilience; facilitating communication, cooperation and collaboration; engaging with key agencies.

The Board is the legal and financial authority for tsiMORAY. As a member, you will act in a position of trust on behalf of the community, ensuring strong governance and a clear direction for our organisation. You’ll be part of shaping real change in Moray’s communities, tapping into the heart of local life.

About tsiMORAY

We are Moray’s Third Sector Interface. We support local charities, community groups, and social enterprises, helping them connect, grow and thrive. We do this by offering guidance, building capacity and linking them with the people, partners and resources they need. We also manage and distribute funds, support volunteering and help co-ordinate Moray’s Climate Action Network. In addition, we are the accountable body for the Moray Local Action Group, a group leading community-led local development in Moray.

Hope for Rural People (HfRP) is a small, volunteer-led charitable organization committed to improving the lives of vulnerable and marginalized communities in rural areas of Scotland and Bangladesh. Our work focuses on food aid, education, refugee support, sustainable agriculture, and women’s empowerment.

We are seeking dedicated and passionate Trustees to join our Board and help shape the future of HfRP. This is a wonderful opportunity for individuals who want to make a real difference by contributing their time, expertise, and strategic insight to a growing organization.

We particularly welcome applicants with experience in nonprofit management, fundraising, communications, finance, governance, or community development.

At present, this is a voluntary position, as the organization is in its early development stage. Trustees may receive remuneration or honorarium in the future as HfRP grows and secures funding.

About the role

We’re looking for a Volunteer Coordinator to help build and support a new volunteering programme for neurodivergent artists across Scotland.

You’ll create accessible systems, help volunteers feel confident and valued, and make sure they have the support they need to thrive. Volunteers will take part in roles like running creative meetups, supporting our Access Library, or contributing to decision-making through our Accessible Governance project.

About Door in the Wall Arts Access CIC

Door in the Wall Arts Access CIC supports neurodivergent and disabled artists to thrive in the arts. Through Neuk Collective, we bring together over 200 neurodivergent artists for peer support, creative development, and collaboration. Our work centres inclusion, creativity, and community care – building a fairer arts ecosystem led by disabled people.

Key Information

• Job title: Volunteer Coordinator

• Hours: 10 hrs/week

• Salary: £14.00 per hour (plus employer NI and pension)

• Contract: January 2026 – February 2027

• Location: Mainly remote, but with some in-person events across Scotland.

• Reports to: Access Lead

• Leave: 28 days pro rata PAYE holiday entitlement (works out to 7.5 days’ paid leave per year)

What we're looking for

We’re seeking someone who:

• Has experience supporting or coordinating volunteers

• Understands neurodivergence, disability and inclusive practice

• Is organised, empathetic, and a good communicator

• Can work independently and flexibly

Familiarity with creative or community-led arts work is a bonus.
