We are seeking a full time Regional Worker to join our existing Glasgow Regional Worker in this vital ministry across the city. This will be as part of the Local Ministries’ West Team, which includes Lanarkshire, Glasgow, East & West Dumbartonshire, Argyle & Bute, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway.

Key Responsibilities:

• To bring together local ministry hubs, building relationships with churches, schools, young people and potential volunteers as well as developing those existing relationships to help build our schools’ ministry
• To grow involvement in our residential work regionally and nationally, in missions and holiday clubs
• To develop ministry partnership for this post, for prayer and financial support

Who we are looking for:

The successful applicant will have experience of schools' work and Christian ministry with children and/or young people; someone who has led teams of volunteers and is a confident communicator of Biblical truth with a wide range of young people. You should be based within easy reach of Glasgow and be prepared to support SU Scotland’s ministry in all parts of the region.

For this post, it is important that you able to demonstrate a commitment to SU Scotland’s ethos, working principles and vision. It is also an Occupational Requirement (Equality Act - part 1, schedule 9), that the post-holder is a committed Christian.

The appointment will be subject to a satisfactory PVG Scheme Disclosure.

We are seeking a part time Regional Worker to join our Local Ministries Team to develop SU Scotland’s ministry in Ayrshire working alongside our established School’s Ministry Co-ordinator. This is as part of the Local Ministries’ West Team, which includes Lanarkshire, Glasgow, East & West Dumbartonshire, Argyle & Bute, East Renfrewshire, Renfrewshire and Inverclyde, Ayrshire, Dumfries & Galloway.

As our ministry extends in line with our 2024 – 2027 Strategy, we are seeking a Learning Manager to develop our training provision for volunteers and staff.

Purpose: To manage a coordinated approach to training, ensuring that staff and volunteers have access to training of the highest quality.

Key Responsibilities:

Work in partnership with the HR Partner, Volunteers Manager and Departmental Leads to identify training needs and ensure that training initiatives align with SU Scotland’s strategic plan and priorities

Design courses for staff and volunteers working closely with relevant subject matter experts and ensuring that the content is aligned to clear outcomes

Investigate potential e-learning tools (feedback and surveys) and implement for all training

Develop evaluations tools (feedback and surveys) and implement for all training, leading to effective reflection, reporting and improvement

Arrange, develop, and where appropriate, deliver engaging and interactive classroom and virtual training sessions

Who we are looking for:

The successful applicant will have a passion to see people grow and develop and have a track record of designing training for organisations and conducting training needs analysis. Strong interpersonal skills demonstrated by the ability to work professionally with a wide range of staff, volunteers and stakeholders is critical. In addition, the ability to communicate effectively, in both written and verbal format is essential.

We are excited to be looking to appoint a new Lead Pastor who has a love for God, a passion for ministry and a heart for humbly serving others. They will help lead The King’s Church, in a manner sensitive to the Holy Spirit, and in partnership with the wider leadership and operations teams, in the ongoing implementation of our vision of “Building a Community of Lifelong Apprentices of Jesus”.

The King’s Church SCIO (The King’s Church, Motherwell), is an independent charismatic church, established in the Lanarkshire area for nearly 40 years.

Over this time we have grown into the multi-racial, multi-generational church that we are today, which encourages people from all backgrounds to come together to Love God and to Love people, underpinned by our values of Truth, Unity, Compassion and Honour. We believe in the sacraments of believer’s baptism and communion.

Our leadership is based on teamwork, with responsibility for the spiritual well-being of the church resting with our Overseers Team. The Trustees manage the legal and financial aspects of the church. These teams work together to provide the overall leadership of the church. Similarly, other areas of the church are based on a team approach, allowing us to use our God given gifts and talents in a collaborative way.

The candidate should be a passionate follower of Jesus, who wants to make a real difference in the lives of The King’s Church family and in the local community.

This post is for a person with an active Christian faith, several years’ experience in church ministry or a similar leadership role, strong visionary leadership, and a passion to see people of all ages live for Jesus.
