Lead Community-Led Change in the Heart of the Cairngorms

Are you passionate about rural development, community empowerment, and making a real difference in one of Scotland’s most iconic landscapes?

The Cairngorms Local Action Group Trust (CLAGT) – operating as the Cairngorms Trust – is seeking a dynamic and experienced Trust Manager to lead the delivery of our strategic and operational plans, support good governance, and drive forward our charitable objectives across the Cairngorms National Park.

About the Role

As Trust Manager, you will:

  • Work closely with the Board of Trustees to shape and deliver strategic and business plans.
  • Lead the development and implementation of annual operational plans.
  • Manage Cairngorms Trust funding streams.
  • Build strong relationships with communities, stakeholders, and partners.
  • Oversee governance, compliance, and reporting to OSCR and other regulatory bodies.
  • Promote the Trust’s work through communications, events, and campaigns.
  • Manage the Trust’s projects such as the Active Cairngorms E-bike initiative and future community-led ventures.

What We’re Looking For

Essential:

  • Proven experience in the voluntary sector.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • A track record of building a positive public profile for an organisation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
  • UK driving licence and permission to work in the UK.

Desirable:

  • Experience in rural economic or community development.
  • Knowledge of the Cairngorms region and its development landscape.
  • Financial management and/or marketing and communications experience.
