Motherwell & District Women’s Aid (MDWA) is a grass roots, community driven support infrastructure and network for women and children at risk of domestic abuse.
The core purpose of Motherwell and District Women’s Aid is help prevent violence against women and girls, and to reduce the negative impacts of domestic abuse through the provision of specialist support to at risk women and children. Our comprehensive support services are designed to break the cycles of poverty and trauma by providing immediate assistance and fostering long-term resilience.
The SBM will serve as an external ambassador, helping to influence national agendas and position the organisation as a leading voice in Domestic Abuse and the Violence Against Women and Girls sector.
The recruitment of this new post of Strategic Business Manager will co-lead the organisation with the Chief Operations Officer to deliver their mission, vision and strategic objectives.
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced dynamic and results-oriented SBM to co-lead our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our business strategy, forging strategic partnerships, and ensuring financial sustainability. This role requires a visionary and strategic thinker with a proven track record in fundraising and financial management. The role will include responsibility for organisational governance, including working closely with and guiding our Board of Trustees. Candidates will have significant senior leadership experience and can demonstrate positive delivery of strategic objectives.

Additional Requirements / Information
Experience of working in or with the third sector.
Evening and or weekend working may be required.
Educated to degree level.
Full driving licence and access to a car.
A requirement to participate in and attend MDWA partner events.
