About Us
Motherwell & District Women’s Aid (MDWA) is a grass roots, community driven support infrastructure and network for women and children at risk of domestic abuse.
The core purpose of Motherwell and District Women’s Aid is help prevent violence against women and girls, and to reduce the negative impacts of domestic abuse through the provision of specialist support to at risk women and children. Our comprehensive support services are designed to break the cycles of poverty and trauma by providing immediate assistance and fostering long-term resilience.
The SBM will serve as an external ambassador, helping to influence national agendas and position the organisation as a leading voice in Domestic Abuse and the Violence Against Women and Girls sector.
The recruitment of this new post of Strategic Business Manager will co-lead the organisation with the Chief Operations Officer to deliver their mission, vision and strategic objectives.
About the Role

We are seeking an experienced dynamic and results-oriented SBM to co-lead our organisation. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing our business strategy, forging strategic partnerships, and ensuring financial sustainability. This role requires a visionary and strategic thinker with a proven track record in fundraising and financial management. The role will include responsibility for organisational governance, including working closely with and guiding our Board of Trustees. Candidates will have significant senior leadership experience and can demonstrate positive delivery of strategic objectives.

Main purpose of the role:
- Co-lead the organisation and contribute to a positive, feminist, collaborative culture.
- Lead the design and implementation of strategic and income generation plans.
- Develop the financial strategy, lead on income generation, and sustainability.
- Strengthen governance and compliance in partnership with the COO and the Board.
- Act as a key external representative in national policy, research, and advocacy forums.
- Cultivate relationships with funders, partners, and research organisations.
- Ensure survivor voices shape strategy, policy, and service design.

Additional Requirements / Information
Experience of working in or with the third sector.
Evening and or weekend working may be required.
Educated to degree level.
Full driving licence and access to a car.
A requirement to participate in and attend MDWA partner events.

East Ayrshire Women’s Aid support women, children and young people affected by domestic abuse. We are looking for a compassionate and motivated Team Leader to join our management team. You will lead and support a team of practitioners to deliver high quality, trauma informed services that are safe, effective and responsive to the needs of the women and children we work with.
You will be an experienced supervisor or line manager with a strong knowledge of safeguarding, risk assessment and trauma informed practice. You will have excellent communication and problem-solving skills and the ability to motivate others.

Argyll and Bute Women’s Aid (ABWA) provides information, emotional/practical support, and refuge accommodation and accommodation advice to all women, their children and young people who are experiencing or fleeing domestic abuse from their current or ex- partner.
Purpose of the Post
ABWA is seeking to recruit an experienced Administration Worker. Reporting to the Service Manager, your role will involve providing dedicated admin support to ABWA as an organisation and to the management team. The post holder will be working with other ABWA staff to provide the best possible service to its service users and to maintain and run an effective office system.
You will also be an active member of ABWA’s team.
CYP Support Worker (Maternity Leave Cover)

We’re looking for a compassionate and dedicated Children and Young People’s Support Worker to join our team at Edinburgh Women’s Aid. In this role, you will provide essential support to children and young people who are experiencing, or have experienced, domestic abuse.
·28 hours per week
·£30,740 (pro-rata £24,592)
·Temporary – for a minimum of 9 months, with the possibility of extension depending on duration of maternity leave.
A satisfactory Disclosure Scotland Adult and Child PVG scheme membership check is required for this position.
Women’s Support Worker

Fife Women’s Aid are looking to recruit a part-time support worker to join our Women’s Support Team.
As a service, we are expanding our capacity to better meet the needs of women who have experienced domestic abuse. Candidates should have good communication skills and a passion for supporting recovery from domestic abuse.
The successful applicants will have at least SVQ Level III or equivalent level of qualification in health and social care or other relevant subject, or a willingness to work towards a qualification.
The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate a high degree of motivation and have the ability to work on their own as well as part of a team. An ability to cover on-call is an advantage (additional payments are made for this role).
