Are you passionate about women and children’s rights? Do you have the skills, knowledge and experience to work with children and young people experiencing domestic abuse?
The Children’s workers are responsible for providing day-to-day support for children in Ross-shire, Skye and Lochalsh Women’s Aid’s refuge and outreach programmes. This includes providing emotional support to individual children and young people including arranging and attending meetings with health, education, and social work.
About you: The role requires a range of experience and skills. You will be able to work independently and manage your own workload. You will be adaptable and flexible in your approach to work. You will have a strong commitment to equality and a feminist understanding of domestic abuse. You will have strong communication skills and will be able to develop and maintain positive working relationships with children and young people as well as third party agencies.
