About the team
Trusts and Foundations is a part of the High Value Partnerships team that sits within the Income Generation Directorate raising around 40m a year to support Shelter’s work. Trusts and Foundations is currently a team of nine – consisting of eight fundraisers with two being based in Scotland, one in Bristol and the rest based in London, plus a Grant Manager supporting role. In Scotland we have a Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager and Trusts & Foundations Manager who, although part of High Value Partnerships, work closely with teams across Shelter Scotland, including Business Development, Services and Policy & Advocacy.
About the role
Your challenge will be helping achieve our strategic goals generating income from mid to high level trusts and foundations. You will act as the external face for Shelter Scotland cultivating and managing donor relationships with a variety of organisations. You’ll work alongside the Senior Trusts & Foundations Manager and manage a portfolio of funders and projects, as well as being supported by our experienced fundraising team and the senior managers of frontline services.

About you
To succeed, you’ll need to be confident in your ability to take on a portfolio of new funders at different stages of engagement and, through research, effective communication and meeting strategies, secure income. You’ll also need proven experience of working closely with delivery teams to identify core services that are attractive to a particular funder, or to support the design of new projects that are a strategic priority for that service. A flair for planning, writing and project-managing applications to funders of various sizes is important too. You will be a skilled writer with the ability to match tone of voice and communicate Shelter Scotland’s key messages clearly and persuasively. You will be highly collaborative and able to work with colleagues across our High Value Partnerships team in order to maximise income opportunities.

About the role
As Marketing Executive, you will use your expertise to coordinate and deliver marketing projects to increase brand awareness and drive engagement with key Shelter Scotland audiences. You’ll be integral to ensuring we have a critical mass of people providing their voice in support of our work, encouraging new and existing supporters to act to address the housing emergency in their communities.
You will help to ensure Shelter Scotland can deliver on its ambitious supporter strategy – to use mass-mobilisation to achieve supporter growth and depth to win campaigns and achieve long-term change. By creating integrated marketing campaigns across paid, earned, and owned channels – including email marketing – you will drive engagement with key Shelter Scotland campaigns and activities.
About you
We’re looking for someone with a passion for digital and email marketing. Shelter Scotland needs someone with a passion for the cause and can increase our reach to support our campaigns addressing the housing emergency.

About you
Already with some relevant experience, you’re used to working with a variety of internal and external stakeholders, have great time management skills and enjoy collaborating with people from other teams and organisations. The ability to listen to, engage and empower individuals and communities will be key. So will your willingness to challenge practice and hold people to account – including influencing decision makers. Adept at presenting information and arguments in clear and compelling ways, you have a real enthusiasm for delivering workshops and presentations too. What’s more, you’re a creative problem solver with an innate ability to gather evidence and identify insights, issues and trends and are proficient using Word, Excel, email, the internet and in-house CRM systems.

Our three Communities Teams are responsible for identifying, investigating and intervening in housing and homelessness practice issues. We engage with our local communities to understand the issues people are facing and apply expert housing knowledge, insight and analysis to identify solutions to them. As well as providing advice and advocacy for individuals, we also use our insight, relationships and influence to drive systemic change, always ensuring that lived experience is at the heart of everything we do.

Four Square Homelessness Charity is seeking a dedicated Waking Night Practitioner to join our Domestic Abuse and Gender based violence service, this position plays a crucial role in providing overnight support to individuals experiencing homelessness. The ideal candidate will be vigilant, empathetic, and committed to creating a safe and secure environment for vulnerable women during the night.
The service addresses the unique and complex needs of individuals who are experiencing both homelessness and abuse. This service aims to provide support, protection, and resources to survivors of domestic abuse and gender-based violence who are also facing the challenges of homelessness.
This is a waking nights post, with shift pattern 9.45pm - 7.45am, working 3 shifts/4 shifts per week on a rotational basis.
