Fife Young Carers (FYC) is dedicated to improving the lives of young carers across Fife, offering vital support to children and young people who have taken on caring responsibilities for family members. Our work spans educational support, mental health services, respite care, and community engagement, ensuring that these young individuals can thrive despite the challenges they face. As FYC continues to grow, we are now seeking a passionate and innovative Fundraising Manager to join our team and deliver on its strategy to securing sustainable funding.

What will you do as Fundraising Manager?

Following a fundraising audit and strategy assessment, you will take the lead in delivering FYC’s fundraising strategy to support its mission and objectives. You will be at the forefront of our efforts to secure financial support for both immediate projects and long-term sustainability, using strategic methods and effective tactics to grow FYC’s income streams.

Collaborating closely with the CEO, you will play a key role in expanding our fundraising efforts, particularly in building corporate partnerships and securing grants from trusts and grants, ensuring FYC remains a leading charity in the community backed by a strong and sustainable financial foundation.

• Corporate Partnerships: Forge and manage meaningful partnerships with businesses, driving corporate sponsorships and Charity of the Year programmes, while developing collaborative skills exchange initiatives.
• Trusts and Grants: Develop compelling multi-year funding applications to trusts and foundations, highlighting FYC’s impact and vision for growth, while proposing innovative programmes to secure new funding.
• Fundraising Campaigns: Lead creative, high-impact fundraising initiatives, including digital campaigns, community-driven crowdfunding, and large-scale events that engage diverse audiences.
• Digital Fundraising: Explore emerging digital tools and platforms to drive donations and position FYC at the forefront of modern fundraising techniques.

What we’re looking for:

We are seeking an experienced and dynamic fundraiser with a passion for making a difference in the lives of young carers. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of securing corporate partnerships, winning trust and foundation grants, and delivering successful fundraising strategies.

With strong communication skills, you will be adept at building lasting relationships with key stakeholders and funders, and possess the creativity and strategic thinking required to develop innovative campaigns. You’ll have the organisational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously and the drive to meet ambitious income targets.

TYKES are recruiting for a field worker to join our team in Golspie. This is a varied role which involves working with young carers aged 5-25 across Sutherland providing opportunities for respite from their caring responsibilities.

The Communications and Campaigns Officer will play a key role in delivering effective communications and campaigns around Carers Trust’s work in Scotland. This role is central to continuing to raise the external profile of the charity and ensuring our communications amplify awareness of the lived experience of unpaid carers, and the good work happening across our network of local carer organisations.

This is a broad role, supporting the development and delivery of communications to generate support and awareness of unpaid carers and our work in Scotland.

We are looking for someone who will put carer voice at the heart of our communications and in campaigns in Scotland.

The Vacancy: As a skilled Social Care Manager, you will be joining a team of five other Support Advisor’s who are dedicated to supporting the people we work for to live their good lives. Across the Lanarkshire area, we support around 30 people who receive varying support from committed and dedicated teams, supporting people to live in their own home and be a valued part of their community. You will work alongside your Area Lead to manage and develop highly bespoke services designed with the people we work for at the centre.

The Brief: Support people we work for to live their good life…To achieve this, you will be part of a friendly and supportive team of experienced Support Advisors who walk alongside people we work to manage their support. You will ensure each person we work for receives high quality, personalised and aspirational support which keeps them at centre of everything. You will ensure that people we work for are empowered to enjoy everyday living and are part of the community they live in. You will be outcome focused and have a keen eye for detail to ensure people we work for have the high-quality support they deserve.

About You:You will have a proven track record in Social Care Leadership, including management of team members and supporting people to achieve their outcomes. You will be authentic, flexible, patient and be able to plan ahead. You will be assertive, confident, resilient and be able to think outside the box to solve problems that may arise. You need to be a team player and a self-starter all at once who thrives on doing good work. You will be able to adopt a supporting and coaching management style with the team members you line manage to get the best out of support teams working with people we work for as well as experience of performance management.

Your Skills: Experience of working with adults with additional support needs is essential as is a knowledge of Self Direct Support. If you have knowledge of Individual Service Funds, this is also desirable. It is essential that you can demonstrate excellent communication skills, be IT savvy, and be able to plan & prioritise your workload independently. You will have an in-depth knowledge of Person Centred Planning and developing detailed Care Plans. You should also have experience of working alongside a wealth of multi-disciplinary colleagues and be able to build positive relationships with families and loved ones of the people we work for. At heart, you will be a people person who can connect people we work for to their communities and have a ‘can do’ approach.

A relevant qualification in line with the Scottish Social Services Council (SSSC) (an SVQ 3 in Health & Social Care) or a willingness to undertake study to achieve this is a requirement of this role.
