Project Worker – Family Wellbeing (part time)

Role

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of Children 1st working alongside families in Carrick and kinship families across South Ayrshire.

The service offers community based, child centred family wellbeing support across the Carrick Locality of Girvan, Maybole and the surrounding villages. The service also offers Family Group Decision Making and family wellbeing support to kinship families across South Ayrshire. The successful candidate will be expected to travel across South Ayrshire to connect with and support families.

The role will require an experienced and skilled practitioner who has excellent knowledge of trauma sensitive support and is able to get alongside families to understand their stories and jointly agree appropriate supports to meet need and promote strengths. The successful candidate will be required to work in close partnership with multi-agency partners within the Getting It Right for Every Child framework.

This is a fixed term, part time post of 21 hours per week, funded initially until 31 March 2022. Hours to be worked flexibly to suit the needs of the service and the families. Regular evening and occasional weekend work will be required.
