Role
We seek a full time (35 hours per week) Learning Coordinator to promote and deliver Lead Scotland’s Perth and Kinross Digital Skills Project. This is a learning service for digitally excluded council tenants who experience barriers to digital skills and online opportunities.
The successful applicant will be committed to:
- Working with participants in small groups or one-to-one, with the support of volunteers and the tenants’ peer network, to provide the learning and support required to familiarise users with the devices and connectivity provided by PKC.
- Ensuring participants are supported to understand the potential of technology to achieve their outcomes, to build digital confidence, and to access online resources and services safely.
This post is home-based in Perth & Kinross, includes travel to learners’ homes and communities and involves regulated work for which a satisfactory PVG will be required. Lead Scotland has a Recruiting People with Convictions Policy.
About you:
You will be passionate about the transformative power of digital skills, digital confidence, and adult learning. You will be confident in communicating one-to-one and with groups and have a flexible and creative approach to problem-solving.
You will be enthusiastic with good organisational skills and have previous experience of supporting people experiencing a range of barriers to enhance and improve their basic digital skills and cyber safety. You will be capable of working one-to-one with learners, and of designing and delivering learning programmes. A full driving licence and access to a car is essential to travel to homes and communities across this rural area.

Tayside One Stop Shop Coordinator

The Tayside One Stop Shop provides free social opportunities and 1-1 advice and support on a range of issues to autistic adults living in Perth, Dundee and Angus.
The OSS Coordinator will assist the Tayside One Stop Shop team to develop and deliver services in Perth, Dundee and Angus. The OSS Coordinator will share responsibility for providing advice and support in many areas, including: employment; housing; benefits; and health and wellbeing.
We are looking for someone with a broad understanding of autism and the particular issues faced by those recently diagnosed as autistic, with the ability to develop positive working relationships and deliver workshops and training. Many of our services are currently being delivered remotely, so you will also need to be able to deliver 1-1 and group support across a range of platforms, including Skype, Zoom and Teams.

The role – Community Living Assistant
We support adults with a variety of complex disabilities, who receive 24-hour care in their own homes and community. You will be assisting the people we support with either one-to-one or two-to-one care; your day will include helping them with their personal care, dressing, medication, communication, mealtimes and participating in their chosen activities for that day.
You will assist with their daily living routines, care needs and facilitating their attendance at college, appointments, recreational activities and social events. We are particularly interested in hearing from candidates with a skill or passion to share such as baking, music or photography – if you love it, this will shine through to the people you support, giving them a taste of new experiences whilst learning new skills.
