Role

Barnardos Scotland have a fantastic opportunity to support and contribute to implementation of The Promise at a local level in Highland. The post holder will take a significant role in developing promise delivery momentum; leading and supporting cross-sector strategic partnership activity in Highland.

The post holder will be innovative, an excellent communicator, able to contribute to strategic development activity across organisations within Highland. They will be confident and experienced in working with senior partners across sectors and across disciplines. They will also link and work closely with the Barnardos North East Area and Barnardos National (Scottish) Promise lead.

The post holder will also work closely with local services in supporting the development of the Promise within Services.

The promise sets out an ambition underpinned by a set of principles and a sense of direction. However, it does not determine a destination as that can only be determined in conjunction with Children, Young People and Families and the communities where they live. The post holder will therefore be confident in engaging and working with children and families, be committed to the principles of codesign, and they will be comfortable in operating in a situation where the destination is uncertain.
