We are seeking someone to join our diverse Community Mental Health and Wellbeing team in the Peer Connecting Service. It is an exciting time for our team as we have commenced working with Thrive Edinburgh. Health in Mind is delivering the Peer Connecting Service as part of the Connect Partnership which comprises of, Penumbra and Support in Mind Scotland.
The Peer Connecting Service is for people over 18 who want to improve or manage their mental health and wellbeing by spending time with a peer volunteer who has their own experiences of mental health recovery.
A Peer Connecting Peer Support and Development Worker will work closely with the Peer Connecting Team to run and develop the service to provide flexible support to people, connecting people with volunteers, supporting people to identify and work towards personal outcomes to improve mental health and wellbeing and increase connections within their community. You will have lived experience of mental health difficulties and share learning from your own experience to develop people’s understanding, inspire their hope and support their recovery .The Peer Connecting Worker will also recruit, train, support and supervise peer volunteers who will provide direct support to those using the service through a range of tools and techniques.

Meet the Team: Friday 13 January 2023- This is optional and a chance to meet a member of the team online for 15 minutes to hear more about the role.
