The Scottish Independent Advocacy Alliance (SIAA) is a membership organisation responsible for promoting, supporting, and advocating independent advocacy in Scotland. SIAA does not provide independent advocacy; its member organisations and groups do. Independent Advocacy changes lives for the better and our SIAA helps member organisations through our core strategic aims:
• Relationship building
• Growing grassroots independent advocacy
• Evidencing quality
• Promoting independent advocacy
• Safeguarding independence
The Learning and Development Officer will play a key role in developing and delivering of learning internally and across the membership. They will be working collaboratively with the team and SIAA members to embed a learning culture. The Learning and Development Officer will work to strengthen the independent advocacy movement by promoting and supporting quality independent advocacy by developing and delivering key learning across the membership.
There are options for hybrid working. The team will meet at least once a month in the Edinburgh office. There will be some travel across Scotland involved.
