What is the role?
This is an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Anti-Social Behaviour Support Worker. 21hpw, 2-Years Fixed-Term contract with possible extension. Working hours to be agreed be between the following days and hours: Monday - Friday between 8am - 8pm & Saturdays 10am - 4pm
Salary band: £27,598 - £36,445. Salary on appointment will normally be at the lower salary point, with progression subject to review - in line with VSS progression arrangements. A higher salary placing will only be considered in exceptional circumstances subject to experience demonstrated.
Primary location: Broadside House, 2 Powerhall Road, Edinburgh, EH7 4GB. You will be expected to work throughout Edinburgh, Lothian & Borders locality.
This role is based within the Edinburgh, Lothian and Borders locality reporting to the Locality Manager, the Anti-Social Behaviour (ASB) Support Worker will provide tailored, one-to-one support to people affected by ASB, helping them to feel safe, heard, informed, and empowered.
The role involves assessing individual needs and risks, developing and reviewing support plans, and coordinating with partner agencies to ensure an effective and joined-up response. Working within the VSS framework, the postholder will uphold victims’ rights, maintain accurate case records, and contribute to the development of peer support opportunities. Where appropriate, the ASB Support Worker will also support and work alongside volunteers to facilitate safe, inclusive group sessions that promote recovery and shared experience.
In addition to delivering 1-1 support this role will support the Anti-Social Behaviour Project Coordinator to build partnerships nationally to establish effective referral pathways and raise awareness of Victim Support Scotland services.
You will bring experience from a similar role and a commitment to your own professional development. As a confident and supportive leader, you will know how to motivate others, build trust, and drive performance. You’re comfortable working with data gathering, analysing, and presenting insights that help shape decisions. You believe in fairness and inclusion with the confidence to challenge discrimination, bias, or stereotyping when you see it. Alongside this, you have a solid understanding of the voluntary and charity sector, and willingness to be flexible in working hours and able to travel as required.

What we offer
We’re looking for a friendly, motivated person to join our team! You’ll be based across the Fife region, focusing on recruiting local volunteers to become mentors. You’ll do this by engaging with the local community and building great working relationships with local businesses, public services and other organisations.
You’ll work closely with our Partnerships Manager and local teams to engage with local organisations and people to promote the MCR Pathways programme. Your main goal is to find committed volunteers who will mentor a young person at a local school. This means meeting with them for just one hour a week during term time for at least one year.

It would be helpful if you have some experience in mentoring, volunteering or working in the charity sector. Most importantly, you should be a “people person”, open-minded and happy talking to large groups as well as having one-to-one chats.

Team: Policy and Communications
As the Senior Communications Officer for Scotland, your role is to promote walking, wheeling and cycling and the impact of our charity’s work in Scotland.
You will provide communications support for Walk Wheel Cycle Trust’s delivery projects, including our National Cycle Network programme. You will share information with different audiences through marketing, proactive and reactive media activity, social media and events.
You will work closely with colleagues as part of the Policy and Communications team for Scotland, Cymru and Northern Ireland, and as part of our UK-wide Policy and Communications Directorate. Together, you will create clear and engaging content for people in Scotland. Your work will support the organisation’s priorities and goals, and you will act as a main media contact for the Communications department.
As this role provides communications support for Walk Wheel Cycle Trust’s delivery work across Scotland, there will be an expectation of some travel to support project milestones.
